I really wanted to like this more, September 15, 2007

    Amazon Verified Buy(What’s this?)

As confirmed I really wanted to like this thing…and as it stands it’s soothe not a terrible buy. I’ll break the review out by piece:

Case: Positively gray duty nylon with metallic carrying handle (the kind you find in the grown-up military belts). Aver-the-top take in with velcro to keep it clogged.

Knife: Like the knife. Nice size, sharp and holds a excellent edge. Can be used for food, but well-built enough for “work”.

Fork/Spoon: I like the fact you can take out them from the main tool. So many “camp utensils” are stuck on one device, so if you have to cut, then fork you end up swapping between tools. While you’ll be spending some time intake soup with the spoon (its really not that huge, about the size of a quarter) its servicable. As it is, both utensils are less vital than I’d hoped, but they work and are detachable which helps to make up for their shortcomings.

Curved: For those times you need to open a pot of wine in the mountains…

Can Starter: Categorically a dissipate of time. Had to open a can of baked beans and just wouldn’t work. I had to break out the Swiss Army Knife to do it.

Handle: Its made of a hard plastic notes. While I haven’t seen whatever thing to make me reflect it won’t last, I can’t help but reflect a hit on a rock will crack this. Rubberized handle would have been much ideal.

Overall: Not a terrible manufactured goods, but one that does have its shortcomings. I won’t “rush out” to exchange it now, but if I see something that looks surpass I won’t be thought over it all that much.

Not a terrible buy. It has it’s terrible points, but the excellent outweigh the terrible. I bought it during my initially rotation to Iraq (2005-2006) because the cheap plasticware we had to use in the DFAC kept contravention on me when I had whatever thing harder than mashed potatos to cut or stab. I loved the fact that it was a compact system which I could wear on my belt and that the spoon and fork could seperate from the knife. The whole system is very well-built.

Knife- Has a nice sharp edge to it, although the plastic handle seems a bit cheap, it’s not terrible overall. At smallest amount I didn’t have to worry about not being able to cut owing to the shoe soles they called meat at the chow hall.

Fork- Kinda small, but very well-built. I never had to worry about the forks contravention off sharp a tough piece of meat.

Spoon- Same height as the fork. Don’t guess to woof down a whole can of beans in a very small time w/ this thing or dig all the way down to the underside of an MRE meal, but it does it’s job.

Curved- Never used it. No alcohol allowed in Theatre. :-.

Can starter- Tried to use it and disastrous miserably. Thank God I had my trusty rusty P-38 can starter.

This is advertised as European. I did not grasp China was part of Europe. It is basicly a far from what I probable,I threw it away with the initially use. It is not European feature, It is misrepresented.

European stylishness? European copy? Cinese Milititary? some or all these would be more right.
