The Directors of Wilmot Running Camp are very excited to have the following featured speakers for 2010:

Nate Jenkins is fresh off representing the USA in the Marathon at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. He is a 2004 graduate of UMass-Lowell where he led the cross country team to three straight NCAA Northeast Region titles and a sixth place team finish at the 2002 NCAA National Championship. Currently sponsored by Saucony, Jenkins was named the top distance runner in New England in 2005.  His PRs include a 13:56 for 5000 meters and 2:14 for the Marathon.

Dave McGillivray is the owner and President of Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises, Inc.  In this capacity he serves as the Race Director of the Boston Marathon and the last two US Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials and has produced or consulted on over 800 mass-participatory athletic events nationally and internationally.  McGillivray has delivered more than 1,500 motivational speeches and is the author of The Last Pick, a book that motivates and inspires the reader to achieve goals thought to be impossible.

 

Larry “Doc” Warnock has over 30 years experience in clinical and sports massage.  He is a member of the International Olympic Sportsmassage Team, an adjunct assistant Professor at Tufts University, and owner of The Center for Health & Athletic Performance.  Doc works extensively with high school, collegiate, semi-pro, and professional athletes from all over New England and provides clinical therapy to people with chronic conditions.

 

We have also added many new staff Coaches including:

 

Gerry Chester is a three-time Connecticut, two-time Region 1, and 2006 National Coach of the Year.  In his 21 years as a head coach he has led teams to 13 State Class Cross Country championships, 3 State Class Track Championships, and a State Open Track Championship.  His Griswold HS teams won a Connecticut state record 8 consecutive State Class Championships.  In cross country and track he has coached 27 All-New England Athletes, 3 All-Americans, and 2 Foot Locker Finalists.

 

Brad Caron has coached at the Middle School, High School, and Collegiate levels in his nearly 30 years of coaching.  As a coach he has led his teams to numerous Cross Country and Track Conference Championships and the 1992 State Class S Cross Country Championship.  His athletes have won numerous conference and state individual championships and many have earned recognition as All-Conference, All-State, and All-New England athletes.  Coach Caron’s PRs include a 4:05 mile and 8:55 Steeplechase.
